Joe Paterno
As many of you know Joe Paterno died today. However I want to take a moment to remind everyone this is the same man who turned a blind eye to his assistant coach sexually abusing little boys. So I have to ask myself what kind of country do we live in where we honor the death of a sports coach because of his leadership in the field instead of what kind of man he was?I a disgusted by this man and how he willing choose to protect a man who was violating children. I am glad that he is no longer among us. So for those who see this man’s life as a loss to sports I see this has a failure on our parts to value college football more than the safety of our children.
